Over the last decade, SAFECOM has grown as a program attracting personnel from different disciplines and communications backgrounds to highlight and solve previous and emerging emergency communications obstacles reported from state and local responders.  Explore educating and engaging federal, state, local, tribal, decision makers on public safety communications on governance, technologies, Communication Unit programs and policies that have been developed for responders to improve their interoperability so when and if another catastrophic event occurs, first responders are able to effectively communicate and respond.
