  • Tuesday, 03/28/2017: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM
  • Room: S225
  • Session Number:  T213

DMR has evolved as the leading digital LMR technology for conventional and increasingly also for trunking solutions. The conventional repeater solution DMR Tier II offers future proof easy to migrate from analog radio systems for users who focus on reliable group communication with the option to use individual calls as well as connectivity to other systems such as PABX, recording or dispatcher stations. The DMR Tier III trunking standard supports call based requirements, which offer a high degree of variability for multiple use cases from different industries such as utilities, public transport, trunked network operators and increasingly public safety. Multi-site and multi-carrier solutions cover large areas and provide flexible group and individual communication.  A series of case studies will include customer requirements and priorities, how to address the identified challenges with the different DMR solutions and an understanding of how to plan and set up the appropriate solution for their requirements. Example networks will serve as a reference point.
