Noise, Interference and Audio Quality

  • Wednesday, 03/29/2017: 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM
  • Room: S229
  • Session Number:  W14

Radios are only useful if you can hear what’s being said.  RF noise builds up over time, not only at radio sites but also where the radio system users operate, and interference can kill performance.  You also need to make sure your audio quality and speech processing is good.  Review the basics for identifying sources of both noise and interference, as proven approaches to measure interference and evaluate potential mitigating solutions.
