Description

Based on recent rulemaking by the Federal Communications Commission, the nation's Emergency Alerting System (EAS) has been expanded with a number of features that will provide for enhanced geo-targeting, inclusion of hyper-links, and message length.  This panel will address these enhancements and discuss the need for active public safety involvement to ensure maximum utilization of these new features.
