Formerly the Nevada Statewide Interoperability Coordinator, George Molnar is an electronic communications veteran with more than three decades of experience. As Nevada’s longest-serving SWIC, Molnar helped public safety agencies and critical private sector organizations communicate efficiently and without interruption during emergencies and other critical situations.
Leading Nevada’s FirstNet consultation efforts and outreach, Molnar also authored the State’s responses to each of FirstNet’s Requests for Information and Public Notices. He also served as the Vice-Chairman of the National Council of Statewide Interoperability Coordinators.
Today, Molnar serves as Director of Engineering, Information Technology, and Emergency Response for the Clark County School District and Vegas PBS television. He plays an integral role in establishing Vegas PBS as a community resource for America’s 5th-largest school district, serving over 300,000 students, and emergency response agencies throughout southern Nevada.
A member of the Clark County LEPC, Molnar also serves on GIS and Communications working groups. He is a member of the PBS Public Safety Committee, which is charged with enhancing the partnership between Public Broadcasters nationwide and the public safety community.
Molnar holds a graduate degree in crisis and emergency management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is a Certified Emergency Manager and Homeland Security Protection Professional.
