Michael Barton has vast and diverse telecommunications experience covering 40+ years in the business, engineering and management of designing, implementing, commissioning, and testing a broad range of RF communications equipment and systems including; Public Safety and Commercial Wireless LMR, VHF, UHF, 700/800/900 Trunking, Microwave Systems and switching facilities. He is currently a Senior Engineer with Commdex Consulting and is the Senior R56 Auditor (CSII) and has conducted Site Inspection audits and provided technical support throughout North America.
Prior to joining the Commdex team, Michael was the LMR System Architect, Project Manager and SME of the Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration’s LMR program. In this position he managed the development and integration of the entire Land Mobile Radio project for all Federal Airport Facilities. He has served as the Senior Service Manager for a Motorola Service Center (COSC), managing daily operations, maintenance, projects, supporting Public Safety agencies’ systems. He was the owner and President of Radio Engineering & Service Company before joining Motorola. He has developed, implemented, maintained, and managed thousands of communications sites throughout North America.
