ProfileG.E. McCabe is a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, WV with degrees in Business Management and Police Science. He is retired from the West Virginia State Police, and has over 27 years of law enforcement experience. During his career with the West Virginia State Police, Mr. McCabe served as a Captain in the role of Deputy Chief of Staff, and throughout his career also served as a special investigator on the agency’s undercover drug and high-priority crimes investigative unit, detachment commander, director of communications and information technologies, promotional standards officer, and planning and research officer. Mr. McCabe has served as the West Virginia Statewide Interoperability Coordinator (SWIC) for the past eight years, and is responsible for the oversight and operations of West Virginia’s statewide interoperable radio network, primarily used for the state’s first responders.
