From college and corporate campuses to municipalities to nationwide, technology can now be used to notify the public of any incident. Examine the benefits and issues of deploying a mass notification system, including opt in/opt out issues, technology constraints, accommodations for hearing and sight impaired and other considerations. In addition, review the pros and cons of the more commonly used emergency alert systems, and discuss the options from paging to texts to voice messages.
