Health and Safety Measures at IWCE

Guided by Informa AllSecure – a detailed set of measures developed collaboratively with industry associations, event organizers and venues, IWCE Expo aims to deliver the highest levels of hygiene and safety at its event, providing everyone with reassurance and confidence they are participating in a safe and controlled environment. Please read below for our safety and hygiene measures guests can expect.

The event will be organized in accordance with Informa AllSecure health and safety standard. IWCE Expo will feature fixed hand sanitization units throughout the facility, wider aisles within the expo hall, contactless registration, enhanced cleaning, and more.

Vaccinations are encouraged for all attendees.

Protect and Detect

Under Informa AllSecure standards, IWCE Expo will facilitate required health protocols and assistance through the following processes:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Following CDC guidance and requirements set forth by the State of Nevada, effective July 30, masks are required for all guests, employees, and attendees in all inside public spaces, regardless of vaccination status. Masks may be removed when actively eating or drinking.

First Aid

IWCE Expo will have access to a qualified first aid responder for any immediate medical needs or medically related questions.

IWCE Expo will follow relevant health authority guidance on screening participants.

Contacting Tracing

Should it be necessary, IWCE Expo will work with local authorities to trace and contact participants at our events.

COVID Testing

Rapid antigen tests will be available in LVCC, West Hall, Level 2, Room 219. No appointment necessary. Walk-ins welcome 7am-5pm during event days.

Resorts World currently offers on-site testing for any person with same-day results. Testing site is located outside the Hilton Lobby adjacent to Corso and Sugarfina. Click to Schedule Rapid COVID-19 Testing. Walk-in appointments available.

Cleaning and Hygiene

The LVCC was awarded the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR facility accreditation by ISSA, the world’s leading trade association for the cleaning industry. Considered the gold standard for safe facilities, the GBAC program was designed to control the risks associated with infectious agents, including the virus responsible for COVID-19.

Under Informa AllSecure standards, IWCE Expo will facilitate cleaning and hygiene through the following processes:

Enhanced Cleaning

There will be enhanced sanitization throughout the course of the event, with a focus on ‘high-touch areas’, such as door handles, restrooms and food and beverage areas. Alcohol wipes will be distributed to exhibitors prior to show open to disinfect booth surfaces throughout the day.

Personal Hygiene

IWCE Expo will provide sanitizer stations throughout the show floor and encourage all participants to regularly wash and disinfect their hands.

Increased Air Circulation

The Las Vegas Convention Center’s HVAC systems have been converted to MERV-13 filters and maximize outside (fresh) air up to 100% as environmental conditions permit. The LVCC’s HVAC system will remain running 24-hours a day throughout the course of the event.

Physical Distancing

Under Informa AllSecure standards, IWCE will facilitate physical distancing through the following processes:

Non-Contact Registration

Through increased use of technology, IWCE Expo aims to minimize lines and entry transactions. IWCE Expo will employ a system that facilitates non-contact registration for participants, including the availability of online registration.

Physical Contact

IWCE will promote alternative ways to greet business partners.

Physical Distancing

IWCE Expo encourages all attendees to be mindful of physical distancing when interacting with each other. IWCE session room seating will be spaced at 3’ distancing, the expo hall aisles have been expanded to 12’ width, and there are dedicated entrances/exits within the expo hall.

CDC Best Practices

We encourage all attendees and exhibitors to follow these CDC best practices for everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of illness:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Stay in your hotel or at home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

Q. What will capacity look like for the in-person event?
A. There are no capacity limits other than standard fire marshal max capacity regulations.

Q. Will IWCE limit attendance?
A. Not at this time. Should LVCC and / or Clark County ordinances change, IWCE will review and align with those recommendations/regulations.

Q. What health measures are IWCE taking to ensure a safe environment on-site?
A. IWCE is working closely with local health authorities and the LVCC to provide a safe and healthy experience for all IWCE Expo participants. Mandatory mask wearing indoors, social distancing, contactless features, and enhanced venue sanitization are a few of the measures we’re employing.

Q. What type of face mask is required?
A. The CDC recommends wearing masks with two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric, that completely cover your nose and mouth, fit snugly against the sides of your face and don't have gaps, have a nose wire to prevent air from leaking out of the top of the mask. Neck gaiters and bandanas are not acceptable.

Q. Will food be served and what will that look like?
A. Food service will be available. We are partnering with LVCC to provide a wide-ranging menu that meets the needs of our participants. Food service may look a little different this year, to adhere to safety measures
