Tony Gray is Chief Executive of TCCA, the global representative body for professionals with an interest in the provision of wireless communication services in mission critical or business critical environments.
Tony has worked in the mobile communications industry throughout most of his career of over 40 years to date. During this time he has held senior engineering, management, and consulting posts throughout Europe, the Middle East and around the world, and has worked as a consultant on a wide variety of public safety and other critical communications-related projects globally.
Prior to his appointment as CEO in 2017, Tony served as a board member and director of TCCA, and was founding chairman of TCCA’s Critical Communications Broadband Group (CCBG).
TCCA is a 3GPP Market Representation Partner (MRP) and member of the MCOP (Mission Critical Open Platform) consortium, and is working with standards bodies including 3GPP and ETSI as well as other stakeholder groups worldwide to drive the development and adoption of common, global, mobile broadband technology standards and solutions for public safety and other critical communications users.
TCCA is also working with GCF (Global Certification Forum) on test and certification regimes for critical communications devices, and is engaging with commercial Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) globally to support the development of business cases for commercial provision of critical communications broadband services leveraging existing infrastructures and spectrum.
