ProfileChris Baker has thirty-one years of first responder experience in fire and law enforcement, and member of the IWCE advisory committee. Chris retired as a Battalion Chief and Investigator from the Roseville California Fire Department with assignments in investigations, operations, administration, technology, and safety. His assignments include local and inter-agency projects improving public safety communications, operational and communications roles on large incidents since 1999, and communications unit instructor. Chris also served as a reserve deputy sheriff working assignments in patrol, detention, and interagency drug eradication. Prior to his full-time career in the fire service, Chris worked as an engineer in the commercial wireless industry constructing and operating wireless networks across the U.S., training engineers, and developing wireless test tools. Chris is a registered California Professional Engineer, Paramedic, and a member of the State Bar of California, and volunteers with the Civil Air Patrol.
