MAY 1 UPDATE: IWCE EVENT CHECK-IN
We hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy during this time. As the world navigates the extraordinary circumstances that we’re facing, the IWCE team wanted to check-in with the community and address the inquiries we’ve received in relation to IWCE 2020. We continue to monitor key developments in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic and will follow the guidance of health officials, the state of Nevada and the City of Las Vegas on when events can safety resume. We believe in the power of gathering our community to share, inspire and strengthen the critical communications industry. We are committed to being that resource in 2020.
While we are proceeding with caution towards an in-person event on August 24-28, we are also developing robust digital options in case we need to adjust to circumstances beyond our control. Our goal is to provide the community with the same great content and networking opportunities as we have every year while adding digital elements to allow our attendees to participate in a way that they are comfortable with.
Lastly, we know that the entire critical communications industry has been affected, one way or another, by the COVID-19 crisis. We realized the tremendous impact this situation has had on the critical communications industry and individuals. We know that our community is working overtime to protect people during this time. Thank you to all those working diligently to make our world safe while many things remain uncertain.
We are working on ways to support our community during this time and will provide more information on how we’re doing soon. Please refer to this page for future updates. We will continue to inform the community here as changes occur.

IWCE POSTPONEMENT FAQS
How does this affect my attendee registration?
Your existing registration is still valid for the new IWCE dates – August 24-28, 2020 for whichever package you chose. All attendee registration, including those with a conference pass, exhibit hall pass or courses through the ETA Education Forum, will automatically transfer to the rescheduled event.
If you have questions about registration, please contact email@example.com. We ask that you please be patient with us and our vendors. In this difficult time, many of our events and those involving our vendors are being impacted, meaning responses may be delayed.
What if I’m unable to attend the new dates?
We understand that there may be conflicts with the new dates. If you are no longer able to attend IWCE 2020, you can transfer your registration to another team member. Please contact customer service:
Will the agenda change?
Our intention is to present the same program originally developed for the year's IWCE conference. If there are any changes, they will be listed on www.iwceexpo.com. The conference dates and exhibit dates will remain the same pattern:
- Conference from Monday through Friday (August 24-28)
- Exhibits and Special Events on Wednesday and Thursday (August 26-27)
Will the ETA Conference still take place at the rescheduled IWCE 2020 show?
Yes, the only change to the ETA Conference is the month – it will take place the same week and IWCE 2020.
What if I booked a hotel room?
Hotel reservations booked through our hotel partner onPeak for the March/April IWCE dates have been automatically canceled. Refunds will be processed in 3-5 business days. If someone wants to reinstate their reservation for the March/April dates, they should call their hotel directly and make a new reservation.
We are currently working with the hotels to secure similar room blocks tied to the August 24-28 dates. More details will be forthcoming soon. You will need to rebook your hotel for the August dates.
Any specific questions around housing should go to our hotel partner onPeak:
How do I cancel my flight(s)?
IWCE does not handle changes or cancellations regarding airfare. Please contact your airline directly to make any changes to your flight(s). Most airlines are providing waivers or free transfers. Please contact your airline directly for more details or to make any changes to your flight(s).
When will IWCE 2021 take place?

When will presentations be due?
A new due date for PowerPoint presentations will be forthcoming, but if you've handed yours in already, that's fine. If you need to make any updates to your presentation, we can upload a new version over the next few months.

MARCH 9 UPDATE: IWCE IS OFFICIALLY POSTPONED
As part of a Managed Postponement Program and after close consultation with our partners in the industry, we have made the difficult decision to postpone IWCE 2020.
With the rapidly developing circumstances and in light of corporate travel considerations continuing to escalate, we’ve worked as quickly as possible to explore our options.
Having spent the past year preparing for the event with our advisory boards, speakers, exhibitors and event partners, we’re genuinely disappointed not to be able to host you in three weeks, but the experience and safety of our community and everyone involved in the event continues to be our top priority.
The intention is to announce a new date shortly. Exhibitors and attendees will be contacted with further information regarding booth contracts and registrations.
We understand there will be a lot of questions and concerns following this announcement. For attendees, we will automatically transfer your registration to the rescheduled event. For questions and concerns, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We are aiming to answer your queries within 48 hours but due to a high volume of emails, please expect a slight delayed reply and we thank you in advance for your patience.
For exhibitors and sponsors, we will transfer your program to the future event. Your Account Manager will be reaching out personally in the next few days to discuss your immediate questions. We continue to work diligently to ensure all details are buttoned down and we thank you for your patience.
As always, we would like to thank everyone who helps to make the event possible and recognize that our event does not happen without your support. We appreciate the open discussions and encouragement. The conversations we’ve had over the last several days have proven how lucky we all are to be part of this supportive, tight-knit industry. As everyone has been reminding us, great things happen when the community comes together and connects at IWCE events.
