Bryan Brake has been in Information Security and Technology for 20+ years. A US Navy veteran, he learned all the valuable lessons needed to propel him to a successful career in information security while supporting US Naval operations.
In his civilian career, he has audited hospitals for HIPAA and HITRUST compliance, assisted ACS in keeping and maintaining their PCI compliance, and protected the corporate network at Crowdstrike from threat actors.
For the last 6 years, he’s been the co-creator and co-host of the “Brakeing Down Security podcast”, a weekly podcast all about security, compliance, and Devops topics. Currently, he works as a technical project manager at Leviathan Security Group in Seattle, Washington. He is also president of the Infosec Education Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit, and he’s a co-organizer of “Infosec Campout” an information security conference in it’s 2nd year, and co-founder of “SeaSec East,” a local Seattle area network and professional meetup.
