Edward Parkinson, Executive Director of FirstNet Authority
Edward is the Executive Director of External Affairs for the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority), an independent authority within the U.S. Department of Commerce. Chartered in 2012, its mission is to ensure the building, deployment, and operation of the nationwide broadband network that equips first responders to save lives and protect U.S. communities.
Reginald Jones, Senior Director of Public Sector Sales and Solutions, Samsung Electronics America
Reg Jones is the Head of Public Sector Sales and Solutions at Samsung Electronics America. He is responsible for public safety, state, and local markets and leads the US strategy supporting first responders across the end to end Samsung portfolio and emerging public safety LTE networks.
Chief Jeffrey D. Johnson, CEO of the Western Fire Chiefs Association
Chief Johnson brings to IWCE an extensive public safety background, with broad experience at the local, national and international level. He is currently the CEO of the Western Fire Chiefs Association and has served on the Board of Directors and as the Vice Chairman of FirstNet for 6 years after having been a key figure in passing the legislation to create the network. He retired from the fire service after 32 years and also served as President of the IAFC.
Bryan Wiens, Senior Product Manager, Cloud Services, InterTalk Critical Information Systems
Bryan provides leadership and direction to InterTalk's EnliteTM dispatch-as-a-service product that bridges LMR to LTE/5G. Coming from a background in mobile telecommunications and software as a service (SaaS) products, Bryan brings insight into how technology can enable a new world of critical information for public safety.
Kevin Shah, Director of Product, Real-Time Services at Axon
Kevin is leading real-time situational awareness services for Axon. He has worked from satellite connectivity on planes to cloud software for TASER devices. He is passionate in creating a world where safety is a priority for all involved and trust and transparency are protected.
John Harris, Director Mobile Solutions Federal Sales, Verizon Business Group
John has been the leader for Verizon of the Federal Civilian business since November of 2018 and in total has over 15 years of experience with Verizon. In his current role, he is responsible for sales and customer satisfaction within the public sector channel. John's primary goal is the growth, retention and customer experience for all of Verizon's Civilian public sector business. Bringing with him a deep respect and passion for serving the public sector segment, John is laser focused on the importance our Public Sector Customers, their mission and how Verizon can help support that mission. John is also very engaged and excited about delivering new technologies to customers and communities in order to help drive efficiency, opportunities and new experiences to people in all walks of life.
Jayne Leighton, Director, Business Development, L3Harris Technologies
She will share a case study of the Public-Private Partnership (P3) with the Nevada Shared Radio System (NSRS), as the Nevada Department of Transportation, Washoe County, and NV Energy are working together to build a next-gen critical communications system built on P25 open standards.
Chris Pearson, President of 5G Americas, will share his view on the future of 5G here in the US in a Fireside Chat Keynote Address with IWCE's own Donny Jackson.

IWCE and PSCR are working together to Call IoT Innovators
Help America's first responders, while winning cash awards to develop your prototypes, travel to key events and expand your network in the public safety community. Successful contestants will demo their prototypes at the 2020 International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE), and see their solutions used by the public safety community in live emergency scenarios during the final event.
Develop a data appliance capable of emulating smart city data streams for emergency scenarios. Participants will determine the data which is most useful for first responders to successfully complete their tasks for provided scenarios. The ability to simulate and transmit information via emulators will create the required infrastructure for augmented reality solutions to provide actionable interfaces for first responders.
