IWCE 2020 Show Highlights
Edward Parkinson, Executive Director of FirstNet Authority, will present a Keynote Address on Wednesday, April 1 at 8:30 am.
Edward is the Executive Director of External Affairs for the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority), an independent authority within the U.S. Department of Commerce. Chartered in 2012, its mission is to ensure the building, deployment, and operation of the nationwide broadband network that equips first responders to save lives and protect U.S. communities.
Reginald Jones, Director of Public Sector Sales and Solutions, Samsung Electronics America, will present a Keynote Address on Wednesday, April 1 at 9:00 am.
Reg Jones is the head of public sector sales and solutions at Samsung Electronics America. He is responsible for public safety, state, and local markets and leads the US strategy supporting first responders across the end to end Samsung portfolio and emerging public safety LTE networks.
Chief Jeffrey D. Johnson, CEO of the Western Fire Chiefs Association, will present the Keynote Address on Wednesday, April 1 at 9:30 a.m.
Chief Johnson brings to IWCE an extensive public safety background, with broad experience at the local, national and international level. He is currently the CEO of the Western Fire Chiefs Association and has served on the Board of Directors and as the Vice Chairman of FirstNet for 6 years after having been a key figure in passing the legislation to create the network. He retired from the fire service after 32 years and also served as President of the IAFC.
Bryan Wiens, Senior Product Manager, Cloud Services, InterTalk Critical Information Systems, will present a Keynote Address on Wednesday, April 1 at 1:30 pm.
Bryan provides leadership and direction to InterTalk's EnliteTM dispatch-as-a-service product that bridges LMR to LTE/5G. Coming from a background in mobile telecommunications and software as a service (SaaS) products, Bryan brings insight into how technology can enable a new world of critical information for public safety.
Kevin Shah, Director of Product, Real-Time Services at Axon, will present a Keynote Address on Wednesday, April 1 at 1:50 pm.
Kevin is leading real-time situational awareness services for Axon. He has worked from satellite connectivity on planes to cloud software for TASER devices. He is passionate in creating a world where safety is a priority for all involved and trust and transparency are protected.
Margaret Hallbach, Vice President of Public Sector at Verizon Business Group, will present the Thursday morning opening Keynote Address at 8:30 am in the IWCE Theater.
In her role as vice president of SLED (State, Local, Education), she leads a group to address the increasingly complex requirements for Verizon's state and local governments, and education clients. She is ITIL v3 and Intermediate certified and Black Belt and Master Black Belt trained.
Jayne Leighton, Director, Business Development, L3Harris Technologies, will present a Keynote Address on Thursday, April 2 at 9:00 am.
She will share a case study of the Public-Private Partnership (P3) with the Nevada Shared Radio System (NSRS), as the Nevada Department of Transportation, Washoe County, and NV Energy are working together to build a next-gen critical communications system built on P25 open standards.
Learn how advances in critical communications are incorporating a number of Public Safety-focused data and video applications. Safe Cities will focus on the application of the following areas to reduce fatalities, minimize crime rates and improve emergency response times to make the future city safer and more secure.
